Funeral services for John Russell Ronk, 68, of 1807 24th St. W., will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Dahl-Brown Funeral Chapel. Mr. Ronk died Tuesday morning at Valley View Nursing Home of a long heart ailment. He was born in Ladoga, Ind., Sept. 19, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Ronk. He moved to Minot, N.D., with his parents and attended schools there. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad in Minot from 1920 to 1938. He served in the Army from 1942-1945 and returned to Billings, where he worked for Northwest Airlines. He moved to Great Falls a year later, where he was associated with Liberty Shoe Shop and worked at other various jobs until 1958. He was a patient at the Hot Springs, S.D., Veterans Hospital until 1965 and returned to Billings nursing home. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post 4. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Earl C. Fraley. Pastor Dallas French of the First Baptist Church will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mountview Cemetery.
